The beams are in!
After a typical morning rain, we went to pick up the beams and flooring from the Amish mill. The weather finally broke and we were able to get the 4x12 Hemlock beams in. Wow...were they heavy!!

It took five of us to carry the beam into the cabin. These beams were not kiln dried, so they still contain a lot of moisture.

First beam going up....another one of those memorable moments!

Joe gives us his feelings about being the anchorman on the beam installation crew!

A well deserved break after the eight beams are installed. Good work men!

Nothing better to see when you lay the level across two of the beams! Up next, the flooring and roof rafters.
